Senior Accounting Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Analyze and account for transactions in multiple companies.
-Participate in downloading information from General Ledger into Global reporting system.
-Assist in drafting financial statements including footnotes.
-Coordinate closing activities with Global Controller and Subsidiary Accounting Staff.
-Support Tax accounting department.
-Prepare and explain incentive calculations.
-Develop and prepare reports from the general ledger and other financial systems.
-Look for ways to streamline processes, eliminate work, and shorten closing cycle.
-Perform general accounting activities for Division and all subsidiaries.
-Prepare journal entries and account analysis.
-Prepare account reconciliations and investigate account activity.
-Prepare schedules for reporting to parent company.
-Supervise Accounts Receivable Department.
-Lead and Support the preparation of documentation required by External and Internal Auditors.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Solid understanding of accounting processes and related controls within IT Services Government Contracting industry
-Ability to explain and provide direction to A/R staff to facilitate timely collection of invoices
-Good working knowledge of report writing tools
-Deltek GCS Premier or Costpoint is a must
-Ability to drill down in accounting records to investigate reasons for variances and gather details to prepare account analysis
-B.S. degree in Accounting or related field is required
