Manager of Corporate Accounting
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the Company's internal accounting and reporting including consolidated financial statements
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the monthly close process involving Corporate Accounting, Financial Systems, Tax, Planning & Analysis, Treasury, External Reporting, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Revenue Control, Revenue Management, Field Finance, etc.
- Ensure adherence to the Company's accounting policies and controls over financial reporting.
- Accountable for all aspects of the execution and coordination with external auditors (PWC).
- Ensure acquisitions are appropriately integrated and reported (e.g., intercompany accounting, investment accounts, 3-day close cycle, etc.)
- Ensure discontinued operations are appropriately considered and accounted for. (e.g., separately accounted, one-time items, etc.)
- Handle technical accounting issues (i.e.., SAB53 guarantor/non-guarantor disclosure, cash flow analysis, etc.)
- Monitor international operations (U.K., Canada, Mexico) and as we expand. This includes dealing with multi-currency financial systems.
- Lead, develop, and motivate staff.
Requirements:
- 4 Year College Degree in Accounting
- CPA Required
- 6+ years mix of public (Big 4), private accounting experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Technical accounting and reporting expertise
- Experience with the PeopleSoft Financial Systems and Hyperion desirable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong management skills
