Financial Analyst II
JOB SUMMARY:
The position of Financial Analyst II is looking for the right individual who will develop and prepare complex and critical financial measurements regarding operating results, new business opportunities, cash requirements, capital investments, and special projects. The ideal person must be able to participate in defining issues and scope assigned projects. This person must determine approaches and methodologies as well as prepare and present detailed analysis of findings to management. The ideal candidate may also help in the development and implementation of consequent financial strategies. They maybe asked to supervise and train less experienced analysts. At this level you will be asked to conduct more complex financial analysis, proposals, and be able to interpret the financial impact.
KEY RESPNSIBILITIES:
- Analyze complex data, determine trends, and establish metrics for measurement quality and performance.
- Evaluate existing reports and make recommendations for streamlining reporting functions and establish a standard set of metrics definitions.
- Perform varied level of technical analysis on ad-hoc requests.
- Perform executive level presentations using existing data sources.
- Participate in development and implementation of consequent financial strategies.
- Help supervise or train less experienced analysts.
- Provide alternatives for further consideration.
- Ability to evaluate and dig into lots of data to fully understand trends and metrics.
KEY SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Master’s degree in Finance or Business Admin preferred.
- 5 plus years of related work experience.
- 5 plus years ability to prioritize workload while remaining flexible.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent knowledge of Excel formulas and macros.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail.
- SAS preferred.
- Self-motivated.
